A long term goal realised

100 mile training week
The power of going vegan
As a meat eater if I did 60km of running a week I would get injured.
As a vegan? Well, watch and see
Okay, spoiler alert.. I did it.
Having just completed nearly 1500km in a month (12 Steden Plog), looking back on this might not actually seem so special. But that is when hindsight or looking back on things can let us down.
During COVID a lot of people were doing challenges like this and I wanted to see how my body would handle it. I always liked seeing how high I could get up ona training week, and had done 125km before. But to push up to 160km is a huge bump up. It suddenly turned into over a half marathon a day.
I also didn't want to fake it. I wanted it to be a proper training week with speed work.
I had never done anything like this is a training week before.
Did this mark the start of the journey I am now on?
